Happy Man Bitters Grabs 3 Top Awards



Charger Limited, producers of Happy Man Bitters has grabbed three top awards in two separate awards in Accra over the weekend.

The prestigious awards was in recognition of the fast growing company immense contribution to society.

At the Accra International Conference Center, the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry conferred on Dr Emmanuel Borketey Bortey, CEO of Charger Limited the young entrepreneur of the year 2018 and the emerging business of the year.

Last Friday at the Kempinski Hotel, the dynamic CEO of Charger Limited emerged as the promising CEO of the year in the Ghana Innovation Awards (GIA).

And to the organizers of GIA, Dr Borketey’s emergece as the promising CEO for the private sector stems from the innovative role he has played in establishing a solid brand tasked to to provide quality services and products.

The organizers after a close monitoring of activities of Charger Limited, headquartered at Doboro, near Nsawam, considered the CEO’s visionary as what has given birth to a multiple brand under the Charger Limited Company, raising winning brands like Happy Man Bitters, Onapo Atagwe Ginger, Charger Transport which deals in sand and stones.

The multiple award winning CEO of Charger Limited in a post award interview said “Certainly, we feel honored by this recognition, it will urge us on to push harder, I dedicate these awards to our hard working staff and loyal customers. We will keep pushing to make our brands world class.”

GMA-USA Organisers Reveal Date For Nominees Announcement



The Organizers of the Ghana Music Awards-USA has revealed the date for the nominees’ announcement to unveil artistes who will be vying for honours at the second edition of the awards.

The organizers, Dons Music Productions and Highlife Media disclosed that Saturday, April 17 will be the date for the nominees announcement.

In an interview with the CEO of Dons Music Production, Don D, he said the 2021 edition of the award is bound to exceed all expectations, fans might have as well as set the standard for awards ceremonies in the country.

“GMA-USA 2020 was beyond the scale of any other held in this country, considering it was the first time an award ceremony was held simultaneously in both Ghana and the United States. This was done taking into consideration Covid-19 restrictions. The GMA-USA production team is well poised to go above and beyond what fans experienced the previous year,” he said.

Dennis Boafo added that the Nominees Announcement is the platform for fans to see which of their favourite artistes made the final cut and how fans can go about voting for their favourite artists.

Organizers of 3Music Awards introduce ‘Artist Of The Year’ and other new categories in their fourth edition



Organizers of 3Music Awards have announced the remaining and adoption of some categories including its Music Man of the Year category to Artiste (MVP) of the Year.

The new categories and additions were made during the scheme’s annual retreat for the board and some stakeholders in Akosombo weeks ago.

Artiste of the Year now becomes the scheme’s topmost award. Entering its fourth year, the organizers are poised to deliver a solid event this year, leaving an indelible impression in the minds of industry and music fans.

The board also approved for ‘EP of the Year’ ‘Best Alternative Song’ and ‘Emerging Woman of the Year’ to be added to the list of categories consistent with awards intentional policy to be all-embracing and also enable inclusion and representation for female artists.

The ‘Rapper of the Year’ category has been redefined to reward consistent rap-based activities of talents within the year under review away from the initial rap performance on a song.

Woman of the Year’ and ‘Emerging Woman of the Year’ will now become the topmost awards of the Women’s Brunch, which comes off on 7th March in commemoration of international Women’s day.

“ #The4th affords us the opportunity to not only honour popular music and the innovation we experienced last year following the outbreak of a pandemic but to also curate an experience that speaks to the now and future of music whilst celebrating our music history.

Most importantly, #the4th should be reflective of 3Music’s commitment for better representation and inclusion for particularly female talents,” Sadiq Abdulai Abu, CEO, 3Media Networks says.

The 4th annual 3Music Awards 2021 comes off on Saturday, 27th March 2021 at 8 pm. The nominees’ announcement comes off on Friday 12th February 2021 at 8 pm.
