Never Compare Eastern Region Music Awards to Central and Volta Region Music Awards – Koo Ntakra Projects
Akuapem rapper Isaac Akuffo professionally known as Koo Ntakra has made his comment known about the Eastern Music Awards scheme.
In an interview with Papa Attitude on Rite chat show, he rated Eastern Music awards below the belt.
According to him, the scheme has not made any good impact on artistes in the Region. “Everything is supposed to be moving forward but not Eastern Music Awards, it’s rather moving backwards”, he said.
Koo Ntakra, who won the Artiste of the Year of the first edition of the Eastern Region Music Awards is still not impressed about how the award scheme is handling issues concerning artistes in the region.
He lamented that the Awards scheme is left behind because they lack showbiz packaging. “Comparing Eastern Music awards to other regional music awards in Ghana now will be a very big mistake anyone will do, because looking at the effort others are putting into theirs to make it better, we are not doing it”, he explained.
The new single banger ‘Gbelemi’ releaser continued that, backbiting and lies in the award scheme counts to the downfall of the awards credibility. “When you call a spade a spade then, they tag you as a disrespectful artiste, how can we build our industry with that attitude”? He asked.
He, however, made it known that he is doing everything possible to bring a bright future to the Eastern Music Awards scheme and for that reason, he will never call a spade a big spoon and if that will attract haters he doesn’t care.
