Ghanaian Music Industry Is Behind Because We Refuse To Accept AfroBeats – Kelvynboy

Published

on

“Mea” Originator, KelvynBoy has attributed the ‘Slow growth’ of our music industry to the rejection of Afrobeat music genre by many artists.

According to KelvynBoy, The new genre was birth out of our indigenous high life sounds from Nigeria and Ghana thus we need to embrace it.

He maintained that Afrobeat is the easiest genre of music and artist could do adding that he remains relevant in the industry because he towed that lane.

“It’s the Ghanaian industry that’s lagging behind but individually it’s not hard. If it’s hard like KelvynBoy won’t survive in this industry. I’m doing afro beats and I’m surviving. I don’t do dancehall, hip hop or jama. I do afro beats and high life is what I’m doing and surviving with. So it’s not hard for the individual but in a whole we have to accept it so Ghana can move forward.”

He said this in an interview on Cape Coast Based Radio Central with Amansan Krakye.
