Speaking to Graphic Showbiz, the Zylofon Media signee said people often have the erroneous impression that popular people are wealthy but the arrow on the ground points to a different direction altogether.

The Brown Sugar crooner also said aside all this he has to contend with negative stories propagated about his brand spearheaded by the media.

He made it known that, “People see you and think all is well with you because you are popular but the truth is that it is not easy. There have been many times that I have been devastated and hurt about stories and even comments about my person that I know weren’t true”.

“However, it is difficult to stop them because you are a popular figure and everyone feels they have a stake in your life. It can be really frustrating but this is what we have signed ourselves up for so you need to brace yourself and move forward when it happens,” he continued.

Actress and entrepreneur Fella Makafui has reacted to colleague actress Martha Ankomah’s assertion that some celebrities live fake lives.

Recall that Martha Ankomah in a recent interview stated that the flashy lifestyle portrayed by some celebrities on social media is fake.

“I see a lot on my social media page. Most people are living a fake life on social media.

“Some of us get things for free and so when we wear them, you can see that we are advertising, and so if you do not post for the people who follow you to see that this woman is selling something and there is a young girl at home and you write hard work, you’re deceiving the kids.

“Let people know that aside from acting you have other side businesses.

“Let people know your side hustle is what is making you take first-class flights because your lifestyles put pressure on the youth.

If we are not sincere to the people about what we do so that they do not put pressure on themselves to do what we do,” Martha Ankomah said.

However, Fella Makafui during a discussion on UTV’s United Showbiz Show hosted by Nana Ama McBrown disagreed with Martha Ankomah’s statement.

According to Fella Makafui, it depends on the brand of the celebrity adding that actors can make a living out of starring in movies.

Fella Makafui who seems to be feeling guilty of Martha Ankomah’s comment as she has been mostly criticized for living a fake life disclosed that the lifestyle of a celebrity depends on the brand of the person.

She reiterated that she has made a living out of acting and has not in any way deceived her followers on social media by claiming she amassed her wealth through hard work.
