Let’s Go Back To Our Kwaku Ananse Stories-Vim Lady Speaks About Superman Bisexual Cartoon

Published

on

Ghanaian media practitioner and worker of the Despite Media Afia Pokua who is popularly known as Vim lady has added her voice to the recent Superman Bisexual Cartoon that has been released.

According to Vim lady, we can be able to stop our kids from reading all those books should we bring back the Kwaku Ananse folklores that were been taught to children back in the day.

Vim lady who was sharing her views concerning the Superman Bisexual Cartoon revealed that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Culture to pay NAFTI students to create cartoons with the Kwaku Ananse stories so children would not rely on the foreign content.

Taking to her Facebook handle she wrote saying;

“When you ABANDON your FOLKLORE (Kwaku Ananse stories and the others) this is what happens. OTHERS WILL POLLUTE YOUR CITIZENS😳
Why is CHINA, UAE(Dubai), or Korea not worried about this?
Why is the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Culture not paying NAFTI students to recreate our Kwaku Ananse stories into cartoons and other content to attract the current sophisticated audience?
What happened to ‘By The Fire Side’ and Kyekyekule?
How many churches invest THEIR ‘COLLECTION’ MONEY in creative entertainment content for the children in their church?
Why do companies prefer to advertise in TELENOVELAS instead of advertising in KUMAWOOD or GHALLYWOOD?
Because we watch that more than our local content.
As a people, we have branded our own as “nkurasisem”.
We even brand our LANGUAGE and those who speak it as VILLAGERS.
We will WEEP more than this until we make PRAGMATIC POLICIES FOR THE FUTURE GENERATION instead of seeking populist short-term satisfaction that does not deal with the actual issue
🤔
Hon Mark Okraku Mantey, please take this up with the government.”

“I am not the best, I am the one” – Sarkodie says

Published

on

“The lizard that jumped from the high Iroko tree to the ground said he would praise himself if no one else did.” The quote is from the book f Things Fall Apart by the renowned Nigerian writer Chinua Achebe.

Perhaps riding on the above-mentioned proclamation by the African celebrated novelist, Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has accordingly blown his own trumpet

That is to say, after so many years in the music industry with hit songs and countless awards, Sarkodie says he is not only the best when it comes to the craft but he is in fact, the one, ceteris paribus!

In a tweet on Sunday, November 28, 2022, Sarkodie wrote “I’m not the best, I’m the one”.

Sarkodie’s claim to be the one has been accepted by “SarkNatives”, but those who have mad love for good music built on thought-provoking lyrics, Sarkodie is not the one as he erroneously envisaged.
