My Life Is In Danger Because I Look Like NAM1 – Ghanaian Entrepreneur Sadly Narrates

Published

on

38-year-old Abdul Mahmoud has sadly narrated the daily struggles he deals with because he bares a striking resemblance with Nana Appiah Mensah aka NAM1.

The young business man expressed that he has received countless threats on his life and that of his family because people think he is NAM1.

Just as a reminder, NAM1 is a Ghanaian business man who operated a gold dealership company called Menzgold which has currently shut down because of fraudulent transactions.

Many Ghanaians have their monies locked up with a slim chance of retrieving it. The case is currently in court and there is unrest on the street and massive hate on NAM1.

Abdul Mahmmoud does not only share a resemblance with the CEO of Menzgold but they share the same birthday as well–talk about unfortunate coincidence.

The 38 year old man said he hardly goes out because he fears angry Menzgold customers might attack him.

He said, “This salah, I got down with my African-wear. One said, is he not the one? And the other said, where is his bodyguard. So they walked to the side of the car and said something in Hausa.

And i responded that i am not the one because I understand Hausa. If I am the one, then they will beat me that day and take their money. If not that, then they will take the car.”

Abdul disclosed that he gets unnecessary stops at check points and delayed checks at airports because even the security officials think he is NAM1.

”Everyone will be on board the plane, and I will be at the security checkpoint answering questions. If you ask them what they are looking for, they will not tell you. All they say is that we are checking something.

One day at the checkpoint, i told the lady that I am a Muslim and the person you are looking for is a Christian. So, we are not the same person” Abdul Mahmmoud expressed with worry
