Stop Arresting Prostitutes – Fuse ODG Begs Police.

Published

on

Ghanaian–English recording artiste, Fuse ODG has appealed to the Ghana police to stop arresting prostitutes in the country.

Though illegal, prostitution is well rooted in our Ghanaian environment. There are a number of hideouts and brothels with commercial sex workers and at night certain streets are filled with prostitutes.

The police department periodically rounds up sex workers on Ghana’s streets.

Fuse has carefully and aptly highlighted this situation in his new song titled “Osu”, which features an Osu based rapper called Toyboi.

In an interview with sammyflex which was monitored by zionfelix.net, he outlined some reasons that may compel females to tow the risky line of prostitution.

According to him most of them move from their rural areas with the aim of making a living for themselves and their families.

He suggested that solid measures should be put in place to improve the economy, create good jobs and protect them rather than arresting them.
