2D EVENT SHS AWARDS GOES VIRTUAL

The board and managements of 2D Event Shs Awards 2020 has decided to go virtual as to this year’s median edition due to the current ongoing pandemic worldwide.

“In so doing, we don’t want to put our nominees life at risk”, the management noted.

The award scheme stands at awarding both Shs nd non Shs students for their exceptional and excellence displayed in their respective fields of talent exhibition.

However, the scheduled date for event is 5th September 2020.

Full list of nominees for Ghana Music Awards USA 2020

It was a night of glitz and glamour as nominees for the maiden edition of the Ghana Music Awards-USA were unveiled on Saturday, July 11, 2020.

The event which was streamed live on Kofi TV to over 25,000 viewers from all over the globe saw performances from some of the biggest artistes in Ghana and the USA including Wendy Shay, Rudy Plus (formally of lifeline family) Qwaachi, SP Kofi Sarpong and Article Wan. Comedian DKB and TV/ radio personality KMJ hosted the event.

In an interview, Dennis Boafo, CEO of Don Music Production and GMA-USA said “Our sincere gratitude to the team that made it possible. We have accomplished the second phase of the project and we hope to finish the next phase, the awards night by November. All we are waiting for now is government easing restrictions on social gatherings, he said.

The communication director of GMA-USA, Kusi Mensah Capito during a live interview on Zoom also said the maiden edition of the awards scheme is likely to take place during the Thanksgiving weekend in November or possibly earlier.

5th EMY awards: Joe Mettle, King Promise, Efya, others to perform at virtual show

The 5th Exclusive Men of the Year EMY Awards show will hold this year in a virtual form due to the restriction place on public gatherings.

After much deliberations, the EMY’s which usually holds around Father’s day has been slated for July 4, as organizers acknowledge that ‘we are not in normal times.’

Airing on Joy Prime and all EMY Africa social media pages, the event will see music greats like Akwaboah, King Promise, Efya, Joe Mettle and Tagoe Sisters thrill viewers with scintillating performances.

The EMY Awards has over the past five years honored and celebrated prominent men including those who have impacted society.

Aside these “giants” organisers have also promised more surprises to make this event one of a kind.
