Mother Killed in Cylinder Explosion; Husband, Baby Sustain Injuries



A gas explosion in Abogri located in New Jauben South Municipality, Eastern region has left the mother of a seven(7) old baby dead.

Ellen Adubea Antwi Christabel, the deceased, was rushed to the  Eastern Regional Hospital shortly after the incident occurred. Unfortunately, she met her demise there.

She left behind a 29-year-old husband named Zakaria Osmanu and a seven (7) month old baby who also sustained second-degree burns. They are currently on admission at the hospital and are receiving treatment.

Although the cause of the explosion is not yet known, some co-tenants in the house are reported to have heard an explosion followed by and anguished cry for help by the victims.





Ghana Police Rescue Chief Of Dedesua From Kidnappers, Seven Arrested



The Ghana Police Service has rescued Nana Owusu Sefa Brempong II, Chief of Dedesua from the alleged Kidnappers.

According to a report by the Police Service, the Ashanti Regional Police command also arrested seven suspects who masterminded the kidnapping of Nana Owusu Sefa Brempong II, Chief of Dedesua.

The kidnapping is said to have occurred on March 1, 2021. The abductors of Nana Owusu Sefa took him to an unknown destination.

However, with the help of the Konongo Police Patrol Team, an unregistered Honda Civic and a Toyota Matrix Taxi were intercepted at Kubease near Ejisu.

The vehicles were occupied by the kidnappers and their victim, Nana Owusu Sefa Brempong II, who was rescued while the seven kidnappers were arrested.

They Took Jean Mensa To Wenchi To Bath Her With Cow Shit Just To Prevent Her To Stand In The Box – Ibrah One Claims



Recall that we earlier reported on Ibrah One coming out with a name for the New Patriotic Party (NPP)?

According to Ibrah One, the NPP is now referred to as the the “Wheelchair Party”. He also disclosed that he would not be surprised if on 7th January, 2021 Nana Addo comes out with old recordings claiming he was sworn in as President like Jean Mensah Did.

Some section of Ghanaians were of the view that the EC boss declaring Nana Addo as the President Elected was pre-recorded but guess what, the EC came out to debunk such rumors. Renowned journalist, Israel Laryea also shared some pictures which proved the EC went live in declaring Nana Addo as the President Elect but Ibrah One still seems to be in doubt.

Well, in a latest post which has been sighted by Pinaxonline.com, Ibrah One alleged that The EC boss Jean Mensah was taken to Wenchi and guess what, she was bathed in cow dung in order to prevent her from being cross-examined in court.

He added that God is going to expose the EC boss adding that, Afari Gyan who was then the EC Boss mounted the witness box in 2012.

This is what he had to say;

”They took Jane mensa to Wenchi to bath her with cow shit just to prevent her to stand in the box, God will expose her, even Afari Gyan stood in that witness box in 2102.#Ibrahone”

Akyem Asafo accident death toll rises to 19



Three more people have died from the Akyem Asafo accident that occurred Friday dawn.

This takes the death toll to 19.

The crash, which was between two VIPs on the Accra-Kumasi highway, claimed 16 lives on the spot.

Some of the bodies were dismembered.

About five ambulances rushed to the scene to convey the injured to nearby hospitals at Asafo, Kyebi and surrounding areas.

Also, heavy-duty vehicles converged on the scene to help with rescue efforts and clear the area of the wreckage.

The accident is said to have happened as one of the buses attempted overtaking the other.

The buses were two Kia Granbirds – one with registration number GT 5629-18 with passengers headed to Kumasi from Accra and the other with registration number GE 5510-15.

Both drivers were among the dead.

Some locals say a three-year-old was among the dead.

The other passengers who survived with life-threatening injuries were ferried to the Suhum Government Hospital and Akyem Asafo Health Centre for emergency treatment.

The bodies had to be extricated from the concertinaed buses by a team of first responders made up of police, firefighters and paramedics from Suhum, Bunso, Kibi, and Ayensuano.

They have been deposited at the Suhum Government Hospital mortuary.
