The Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman Manu, has stated that the government is fatigued by the increasing cases of Coronavirus in the country despite numerous interventions and public education on the disease.

According to the Minister, many of the positive cases could soon turn into critical conditions if care is not taken.

He said both the President and Health officials at the forefront are already tired adding that Ghanaians must take personal responsibility to protect themselves from contracting the virus.

“If we don’t do that, the virus will continue to spread. Our positive cases continue to increase, if we are not careful the positive cases will turn into critical illness. Nana Addo is tired. Those of us leading the fight are fatigued because we have done all that we could to defeat the virus but people are not adhering to the preventive protocols. So I am begging everyone to adhere to hand washing, social distancing and wearing of masks directives to help save the country some money and reduce the stress in fighting this disease”.

The Health Minister who also doubles as the Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central Constituency said this over the weekend when he commissioned a Police Station and CHPS Compound he built at Dormaa Nsesreso a border community.

He added “In Bono Region we have not recorded many cases, the Regional Minister tells me our case count is 19 now. The Disease has come to stay with us, it is not going away anytime soon so all that we have to do is to adhere to the preventive protocols. Wearing or masks and hand washing not encouraging in Bono.

Some people have their masks kept in their pocket. Yesterday I caused the arrest of some people, the voluntary compliance is not working so we have to use the police to arrest and prosecute”.

The Inspector General of Police James Oppong Boanuh who was the guest of honour urged residents to abide by the Covid-19 preventive etiquette. He also warned the youth to desist from electoral violence.

NDC Flagbearer, John Mahama has today 6th July, 2020 announced his Vice and that’s former education minister, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang.

She’s the first-ever woman to reach such a level in the history of Ghana.

Well, an old video has emerged that points to the fact that before this day arrived, Prophet Nigel Gaisie already fore-told it.

“Between 2020 and 2024, sayeth the Lord. I’ll produce a Vice president that is a female. So to the female bodies and female activists…sayeth the Lord, the time is due. The hand of God came upon me and I entered the Eastern Region and I saw a woman who was upon a time an Attorney-general. I saw the woman from the Eastern Region. The woman has a connection with the Volta Region and the Lord took my spirit to the Fante land and I saw these two women —one from Fante and one from Eastern Region who has a Togo-Voltarian background holding the National flag of Ghana and if the president is not there, they represent the nation. Sayeth the Lord between 2020 and 2024, Ghana will produce a female vice president.”, he said in front of his congregation.

True to his prophecy, this has come to pass. Prophet Nigel made this prophecy during 31st Night service in 2018.

Reports reaching The BBC Ghana indicate that students of Accra Girls Senior High School are embarking on a demonstration in the school against school authorities demanding to go home.

Live Feed from Accra FM suggests that the students have been panicked after reports of COVID-19 cases on campus. Some of the students said they had been seeing ambulances move to and fro in the school to pick up these suspected COVID-19 cases.

According to them, authorities have failed to brief students on the situation despite the going in and coming out of ambulances on campus. This has put great fear in them and eventually sparked this protest.

The students could be heard screaming we’ll go home, we’ll go home!!!. The only Covid-19 protocol they’re observing while protesting is the wearing of face masks according to reports.

Background to the development

Six students of the Accra Girls Senior High school have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Citi News sources at the school said some students of the school showed symptoms of COVID-19 and were isolated in the school’s sickbay on Monday, June 29, 2020.

Health officials from the Ayawaso North Health directorate were called in to deal with the matter. COVID-19 tests were subsequently run on 11 students. Six of them tested positive and were on Saturday, July 4, sent to the Ga East Municipal Hospital for treatment.
