Ashanti Region Celebrates 2019 World AIDS Day

The 2019 World AIDS Day was celebrated by the Ashanti region at Kwadaso Municipal Assembly, specifically Kwadaso M/A School park.

During the program, the Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah lamented that, the Government has promise to do all his best to support the preventing and controlling of the HIV/AIDS in our country.

According to him, those who are not affected should know how to treat those who are affected with such disease. “Do not treat them in bad ways but we should prevent ourselves from getting the disease”, he said.

He then encouraged those with the HIV/AIDS disease that there is hope for them, therefore, they should not feel sad always.

Meanwhile, the Technical Director for Ashanti Region Aids Commission, Madam Olivia Graham also gave assurance to the people with HIV/AIDS and motivated them as well.

She also adviced the public to take good care of themselves against Sexual Transmitted Disease.

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo paid a courtesy call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene at the Manhyia Palace, as part of his 3-day working visit to the Ashanti Region.

The highly respected traditional leader has commended the President for his good work; “I know Asanteman will remember your good works.”- Otumfuo to President Akufo-Addo

The President also inspected the ongoing work on the construction of a 500-bed military hospital and work on the construction of Phase II of the Kumasi Airport project.

Ghanaians React To Video of Mahama Captured Sharing Money on His Campaign Tour In Berekum

The former President of Ghana who doubles as the Presidential aspirant on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Mahama has resumed his campaign tour to the Bono region after pausing due to issues with the voter’s register.

In a video monitored online, John Mahama was seen surrounded by a large croud when he stormed Brekum in the Bono region.

Well what has caught the eyes of many Ghanaians on social media was when the former President started giving out something to supporters believed to be money.

Some Ghanaians on social media have jumped to the conclusion that the former President has started using money to influence people into voting for him.

While some blast him for his action, some say its the norm of the day and every politician is guilty of it.

Its all started when Serwaa Amihere shared a picture of a wooden bridge with a signpost stating that it was constructed by the MP

Based on the picture and what is written on it, one will also conclude that this bridge was constructed by the MP

However, the MP didn’t take this piece of information shared by Serwaa likely as he ruins insults on her on social media
