Black Stars coach Charles Kwabena (C.K) Akunnor has advised Thomas Teye Partey against joining Premier League side Arsenal.

According to CK, Partey’s continuous stay at Atletico Madrid will surely work in his favour but a move to Arsenal will do his career more harm than good.

Another point made by the coach is that Partey should never move to a team that is not playing in the Champions League.

He continued that, per the pedigree of the workaholic midfielder, a move to a team that is not playing on the European stage is harmful.

“I wouldn’t want Thomas Partey to move to Arsenal in England because with Athletico Madrid he will always play in the UEFA Champions League, It will be difficult for Arsenal to qualify for the Champions League” Akonnor said on Starr FM

Thomas Partey is an integral member of the Atletico Madrid side and has helped the team play in the Champions League final and win a Europa Cup in 2018.

Interests from English teams and several others have been on the rise but CK Akunnor believes Partey should continue to stay with the Spanish side and work extra hard to court attention from regular Champions League playing teams.
