Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club for the second time has brought on board Maxwell Konadu as head coach following the abrupt exit of infamous Kjetil Zachariasssen.

Maxwell’s reappointment was confirmed on Monday, December 9, 2019 and per the dictate of the contract, Maxwell signed a two-year renewable deal with the football club under discussion..

Maxwell Konadu coached Asante Kotoko in 2011/12 season and led the side to win the Ghana Premier League that year before resigning to take over the Assistant Coach post of the Black Stars.

Maxwell Konadu’s re-engagement comes as a delight to the supporters who have been clamouring for the former after the exit of the Norwegian trainer.

“I am back and can say that I am very delighted with the development. I thank the management and the supporters for the confidence shown in me. I will do my best but will ask that the supporters exercise patience as I try to improve the team”, Maxwell Konadu said when addressing the available press after the signing.
