Former Asante Kotoko coach Kjetil Zachariassen will report the club to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) following the termination of his contract, according to Charles Kouadio.

On Wednesday, the Porcupine Warriors announced the sacking of the Norwegian gaffer after a crunch meeting in Kumasi.

The former Ashgold trainer, who took over in July from Charles Akonnor was shown the exit on the back of the Reds’ underwhelming performances in Africa this season.

Speaking to OTEC Fm after the sacking, coach Zachariassen’s agent expressed their unhappiness with the terms of separation and threatened to send the club to CAF.

“They (Kotoko) are saying that they will compensate him (Zachariassen) with $5.000 but that wasn’t the agreement signed, we told them (Kotoko) to pay $10.000 but they insisted on paying $5.000, so that was where we left the meeting and didn’t come at a compromise” Kouadio told OTEC Fm.

“We won’t accept that in good faith because we wanted peace but we didn’t come out with anything tangible after our meeting on Tuesday. After the meeting, none of the Kotoko management called us until they forwarded us the letter of termination after sending it to social media.

“They disrespect us in the first place because as I speak, we are yet to receive a hard copy of the letter, it shows they are up to something. Our next point of action is to take Kotoko to CAF,” he added.

Andre Ayew struck a second last-gasp penalty to earn Swansea City victory over Middlesbrough and move Steve Cooper’s side up to third in the Championship.

Ayew had put the Swans ahead when he volleyed in his 12th goal of the season five minutes before the break after a defensive mix-up by the visitors.

But they looked as though they had been denied all three points when Sam Morsy’s deflected strike in second-half stoppage time brought Boro level.

However, there was still time for Jake Bidwell to be felled as he attempted to reach a cut-back into the area and the officials to award a penalty.

And, as had been the case in the win at Stoke in midweek, Ayew kept his nerve to seal the most dramatic of victories.

It means Swansea climb above Brentford and are a point behind second-placed Watford with two games in hand.

In doing so Ayew is the first african to equal Ronaldo Nazario’s record of scoring 4 penalties Consecutively.
