The CEO of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics, Toshiro Muto told UK-based BBC news that the organizers will do everything in their power to host the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics game in the summer of 2021.

The International Olympics Committee stated earlier that they are not willing to push the event a year further as it could cause them some serious issues.

According to Mr. Tonshiro, everyone should keep their focus on the fact that the event is happening next year. “Everyone should focus on holding the event next year – we are on the same page,” said Mr. Toshiro.

He also disclosed that, they have been in contact with the President of the IOC and he is insisting that hosting the year any other year than 2021 is inappropriate.

Due to the COVID-19, the event which was scheduled for this year in the Japanese capital has been postponed to next year.

When the question about spectators was asked, Mr. Toshiro explained that there would be a limited number of spectators with strict adherence to all the COVID-19 protocols; especially social distancing.

Toshiro stated that the limited number could also affect delegation and staff members coming from the participating countries. He further concluded on that by saying that, the number of events and activities will still be maintained.

He finished by saying, if the event is successful, it would be the first ever international event since the COVID-19 pandemic came.

Ghana captain Andre Ayew has emerged as a subject of interest for French giants Paris Saint Germain.

The Swansea City top scorer could be returning to France after an impressive campaign with the Championship side.

Ayew netted 18 times in all competitions and provided seven assists as Swansea reached the semifinals of the playoffs.

PSG is yet to make an official bid for the former Marseille man, but it is believed PSG are preparing an offer of 5 million Euros for the Ghanaian attacker.

Last week, manager Steve Cooper admitted the player is better than the champions, revealing interest from clubs elsewhere.

“I understand Andre is a better player than the Championship. That’s a matter of fact and I am sure he will have offers to do that,” said Cooper.

The Welsh club is yet to sit with the Black Stars captain over his future.

Andre Ayew is interested in a move away from Swansea after the disappointing end for their quest to return to the English Premier League.

Ayew who has a year left on his Swansea contract rejoined the club in 2018 after a season with West Ham.
