PSG, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Man Utd set to battle for Jadon Sancho.

Borussia Dortmund are bracing themselves for a difficult summer with Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester United all reportedly set to do battle over securing Jadon Sancho’s signature.

Despite the German club’s assertion that their star asset isn’t for sale, there are significant rumours which suggest that the England international may be looking for a change of scenery at the end of the 2018/19 season.

The Daily Mail report that Liverpool have joined PSG and Los Blancos in the pursuit of the former Manchester City academy graduate, while Manchester United’s interest has been long documented.

In the two and a half seasons he’s been in the Bundesliga, Sancho has settled to senior football like a duck to water, scoring 18 goals and contributing 31 assists, a return which has seen him earn several senior England call-ups.

His contract with the German club is due to run until June 2022, although Dortmund have had no success in their attempts to secure the England forward to an extension as yet.

It has also been suggested that Sancho wants to leave Dortmund. Even so, it will be an expensive transfer for anybody to complete, especially as the German giants seem set to refuse any offer below the value of around 135 million euros.

Local players will receive an average monthly salary of GH₵1,500 under the NDC – Sammy Gyamfi

Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has revealed that local players who play in the Ghana Premier League would enjoy a monthly salary of GHC1,500 when NDC gets elected into power in the forthcoming 2020 elections.

For some years now, players have been calling for better conditions for local players to prevent them from leaving the local leagues to outside the country in search of greener pastures.

NDC has said in their manifesto that was released 2 weeks ago that they’ll come and make things better by setting up a sports fund. This fund is intended to support several sporting activities in the country.

The Communications Officer of the main opposition party said the sports fund will support football clubs to pay players at least GH₵1,500 as a monthly salary.

“The NDC will establish a sports development fund. The government will furnish the account with enough money and also generate some from cooperate bodies”, he said on Kumasi FM.

Every club that plays in the premier league will be supported with funds to settle player salaries, an average money of GHC 1,500 will be paid to each player.

“Every club that qualifies to play in the CAF Inter-club competition will also be supported. The inter-colleges games will also be supported financially with this fund.

“ However, clubs that transfer players abroad will give a percentage of the money they earn into the sports fund.”
